Permanent A team Players and other Special Status players: We are now at the point where most teams will have played four times. So, in line with Registration and Eligibility Rule 3, multi-team senior squads must have three players nominated in the Special Status column as permanent 'A' team players, below which they will never play. They would have been expected to have played in at least two of the first four matches unless the club had a valid explanation to the contrary. Juniors require 1 boy and one girl nominated.

Where a club has two teams in Division 1, the numbers are increase by one. This only applies to Holcome Brook A in the men's.

Full time students living away from home who may be needed for Division 1 in the last two fixture weeks, must be registered as such before the 1st July. (Rule 7 (f)).

Please contact the Registration Secretary with any alterations needed.

Bolton Tennis Tournament: This is now open for entries. However, as it stands at present there are at present severe problems with entries which people have reported. The whole system may have to be reset. It is suggested that you all hang fire for now until we can confirm the system is up and running correctly.

The first casualty of the season - Barrow Bridge Men's, Division 5:

"I am writing to request that our Men's team is withdrawn from Division 5 of the League forthwith. As you know, we have really struggled for male players in recent times, and attempts to attract new players this season and last have not been successful. Injuries, work commitments, retirements, moving out of the area and new family commitments have all impacted our ability to field a team, both presently and for the rest of the season. It saddens me that it has come to this what with our long association with men's tennis, but we have to be realistic. There's no point in limping along, not knowing whether we will be able to field a team from one match to another. Ste Maslivec

Uncollected handbooks and score cards: These have been placed in the kitchen at Meadow Hill. It would appear that some clubs regularly get on quite well without them. It has been suggested that we assume the same clubs will do the same next year, so we can save having them printed in the first place.
